TGS: Bayonetta Trailer

I wasn't satisfied with the previous trailers and gameplay footage about Bayonetta but after seeing this trailer, my doubts are gone. The story looks interesting so do the characters but the gameplay looks very similar to Devil May Cry though.

TGS: Splinter Cell Conviction Trailer

They also call this trailer 'Numbers Trailer'. It's so sad that it has been reported to 2010.

TGS: Yakuza 4 Trailer

I don't even know if Yakuza 3 has been released in the USA but it's certainly not the case in Europe. So I was quite surprised seeing a trailer for a 4th game of the franchise. But the graphics look amazing!

TGS: GTA 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony Trailer

This trailer focuses more on the character of Yusuf Amir. Still looks very good!

TGS: Alan Wake Video

No need to explain a lot, the video provides you with a lot of information about the Alan Wake universe. I am very excited for this game, it reminds me of Alone in the Dark and it's a very interesting thriller! There should be a lot more games like this.

Tokyo Game Show Special

The Tokyo Game Show is a video games expo or convention held every year in Japan. Game developers will be able to show trailers or gameplay videos and demos about upcoming games.

I hope that everyone is as excited as I am when they see all of these great looking games which will be released in the next few months!

By the way, I found all of these trailers at IGN's youtube channel! Thought this might be added!

No More Heroes 2 Trailer

Wii owners who like violent games might have played the first No More Heroes game. The second one is on its way and it looks very promising.

I can only recommend the first one because the style is very original, the boss battles are amazing and it's one of the best games on the wii!

Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver Trailer

Our favorite pocket monsters make a new appearance again. This time it's a remake of the nearly 10 year old Pokemon Gold and Silver games. A lot of new features will be added to the games and will make the joy of new but also old Pokemon fans!

For my part, I am very excited for these two games because I've been playing the pokemon games since the very first ones and silver/gold were my favorites! Platinum is nearly perfect and if the new versions of Silver/Gold will be like the last one, they will definitely be great!

It's surprising that they are already remaking these two games but it has already been 10 years ago. And who knows, maybe in 10 years they will remake diamond/pearl and platinum!

Grand Theft Auto 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony Debut Trailer

It's time for a new Gta4 add-on! The first one was Grand Theft Auto 4: The Lost and Damned where you played as Johnny Klebitz, member of a biker gang. The new add-on will put you in the role of Luis Lopez who is a part-time hoodlum and a full-time assistant to the legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince.

The trailer looks promising and very funky. The game will be downloadable on october 29th only for Xbox360.

Playstation 3 Slim

So the playstation 3 slim has been out for a few weeks now. Gamers who couldn't afford the old ps3 are now luckier because it is of course cheaper than the previous one.
299 euros or 299 dollars is the price to pay for it. The price of the old one was of course reduced too but the main difference between the old and the slim one is the hard drive. The ps3 slim has 120gb, the old one only 80gb. You can still purchase an older version with 160gb, but the price will of course be higher.
The design and the playstation 3 logo have also changed. In my eyes, I still prefer the old one but this is of course is matter of taste ;)
I hope that everyone who always wanted a ps3, has now the possibilty to get the new one!

As you can see, it-is-game-time is coming back with a few updates and a new look.
I know that I've been neglecting the blog and I feel bad for it. I will try to share the newest gaming informations in future. Making reviews is a lot of fun too but takes a lot of time and with school starting again, time is something that I won't have.
Still enjoy the blog!

Katamari Forver Trailer

One of the most colourful games is making its come back on the playstation 3!! Katamari Forver!! The latest Katamari game was Beautiful Katamari for the Xbox 360. Previous versions were released for the Playstation 2 but also one for the psp. The gameplay is very simple: collect everything that is around you and create a very big Katamari!! It's fun and very addictive! I can only recommend it.
The ps3 version doesn't seem much different to the 360 version but there are some new features that you can see in the trailer!

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Trailer

Finally a Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Trailer which shows some gameplay footage!
The game will be released at the end of the year in Japan for the psp. Let's hope that we won't have to wait too long for a release date in the other countries.
Enjoy!

Good old platforming fans rejoice! Banjo-Tooie, the second game in the Banjo Kazooie franchise was released today on xbox live marketplace! It costs 1200 points which may be expensive but the fact that it will take us back to the time we were sitting hours in front of the nintendo 64 seems to be priceless to me!
The second one is my favorite of the Banjo Kazooie universe. Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, the new game for the xbox 360 has its good parts but in another hand it has nothing to do with the old games. Only the characters and the humour stay the same. It was a nice try but it should show the producers to stick to the old gameplay that was fantastic and not completely change everything.
And even newcomers will have fun playing the old ones while the new one is more difficult to handle with and can get really annoying!
So I can only recommend buying this game or the first one if you haven't played any!

The Secret World Trailer

So this teaser trailer is really looking good and very promising!!
The only reason that may keep me from playing the game is that it is a MMORPG.
For those of you who don't know, a MMORPG is a 'massively multiplayer online role-playing game' so I would say the best example for this might be World of Warcraft.
I love RPGs, they are really fantastic and leading us to other worlds but playing them online with other people is not really that what I am looking for.
But how would french people say: 'Les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas.' which means tastes and colours are not argued over!
And I might still take a look at it when it comes out ;)

See for yourself.

And excuse the funny faces!

Bioshock 2 News

The sequel of Bioshock which was previously named 'Sea of Dreams' is now reduced to simply 'Bioshock 2'. Some informations have popped up on the internet about the main character being a Big Daddy and facing the 'Big Sister'. This 'Big Sister' is a grown-up version of the 'Little Sisters' and will hunt you through the game.

Photobucket

I haven't played much of the first one, so I am not in a good position to say much about the new one but as much as I can say is that I don't like the idea of playing a big daddy. Simply because in the first one, you played as a human being and you had a certain fear towards those terrifying creatures. But now if you play as one, it will be a different feeling because you are more like hiding in a shell.
Of course this doesn't mean that the game will be bad or anything and I am very excited to hear more about it.

Gaming News

So today I got 2 new games: Wanted: Weapons of Fate and Left 4 Dead.

Photobucket

I am a big Wanted fan, I really enjoyed the movie and I hope that the game will be good! Yes it is a movie game, but I think that the developers made the right step to take their time to produce the game and release it even after the movie and dvd came out!
That's a first good point. Another one is that the game takes place after the movie so they had more freedom for the storyline. They even tried to include scenes out of the comic book so that both, the movie and comic book fans would be satisfied with the result. I just hope that it won't be too repetitive because I played the demo and that's one point that made me doubt about it.

Photobucket

I know Left 4 Dead has been released some time ago but I never felt the urge to play it. Until I saw the intro of the game which is totally amazing!! I love the humour and action in this apocalyptic zombie game. The focus is on teamwork and playing in coop is certainly a lot of fun! And isn't it made as if you would be the star of a movie? I like that idea!
So I hope that I will love that game as much as I love Portal!

For those of you who haven't played the game yet or for those who want to rewatch this amazing intro, here it is:

Bionic Commando Trailer

I am very excited for this game! Can't wait until it comes out!
And it kind of reminds me of a mix between Spider-man 2 and some other adventure games like Uncharted or Tomb Raider.
What do you think about it?

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop Review

So finally my first review! Here we go.

General:
Name: Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
System: Nintendo Wii
Publisher/Developer: Capcom
Genre: Action, Horror
Age Rating: +18
Story: You play as Frank West who is a photographer/journalist and gets dropped on the roof of a mall infested with zombies. He has to stay three days at the mall until the helicopter comes back. That's pretty much it.

Gameplay:
First of all you are locked with a bunch of other characters in a safe room, where you can change your clothes, find the people you've saved, save your game and get the missions you have to achieve.
From there on, you have access to the main place of the mall where you always have to go through. Then you can decide where to go. Later on you will find some shortcuts so you can come more easily to other places of the mall.

Missions: You have two kinds of missions: the important missions which help you continuing in the story and the other small missions where most of the time you have to save people or explore areas. But most of the time you have to complete all of the missions to continue in the game. Sense, this makes none.

The missions can get repetitive like if you have to save someone, you have to go to that place and the person will follow you but you still have different tasks to do so that they finally can follow you to the safe room.
Example: You have to save a guy who likes to eat. So before you can bring him to the safe room you have to get him to the next food store and then only he will follow you. Stupid but at least it brings some diversity in it.

The mall and objects: The only thing that keeps changing are the enviroments. The mall is so big that you never really play at the same places twice. Of course you have to go through some passages like every single time which may get frustrating. But as said before, you will find shortcuts later in the game.
It's basically a go from point A to point B game, the way is shown you with an arrow or shown on your map and it is pretty easy to find the place. No problems with that.

The way you have to go to reach your destination is long and annoying. With annoying I don't really mean the hords of zombies you have to fight but the parrots and dogs which always keep attacking you and which are terribly difficult to kill because of the camera and your restricted capability to move.
But a good point is that there are so many objects you can interact with! You can do special moves with the wii mote, you can use your weapons or as I just said use the many different objects that are lying around to get rid of your ennemies.

Logic: The game is not very logical like why the hell do they give you so much money when you save people? Yes you can buy guns which doesn't make much sense either because they could simply take all the guns to the safe room and share them like everyone would do it! And the mall is infested with zombies, you don't need to leave cash behind if you change your clothes (which you can do by the way! You can even put on women's clothes. Yeah, not joking.) .

Characters: The characters are also very simple, nothing is in depth which is really sad because in situations like this, the characters' reactions, emotions and how they behave with other people are important. The people you have saved only get in a room where you barly can talk to them. Maybe later they will play a more important role, who knows?
Frank is an ok character I would say. He doesn't show much emotions either but he's still funny.

Boss fights: And the boss fights!! If you can call this a boss fight! As much as I have played, I always fought a human boss, which you have to shoot like hundreds of times until he finally 'dies' or gives up. This doesn't make any sense at all! And they don't seem to have weak points! You only shoot at them until they are finally beaten.

Loading time: Oh dear, the loading time is horrible!! You leave a place like the safe room, the game loads, you make 3 steps until you reach the elevator, more loading and you play for some more minutes and there is still more loading!!! I really don't get it why it has to take so damn long and at every single place!

Graphics: The graphics are ok, Wii standart I would say. But who needs excellent graphics to kick some zombie butts?

Genre: It is meant to be an action/horror game and I think this really suits. It's a zombie game so still scary for some people and some of the cut scenes are not really something for weak souls.
And for the action, it definitely does its part!

Xbox 360 Version: I haven't played the xbox 360 version but I've heard that you can take pictures during the game which is logical because the main character is a photographer!! On the wii game he strangly holds the camera in one hand but never uses it. It is really sad that they didn't added this because with the wii controls it would be really fun taking pictures of zombies. And you don't have that much actions to do with the wii mote apart of these special moves. Normal attacks work also when you push the 'A' button.

Verdict:
All in all, the game is really fun and you are free to decide what you can do like playing the story or just hanging around at the mall with your zombie friends. There is also a lot to discover and to interact with. So it is basically a game you can pick up and play immediately!
Unfortunately, there are still some weak points like these really annoying animals which keep attacking you, the long ways you have to make to your goal and to come back to the safe room, the loading time and the illogical parts like the boss fights and the fact that you can't use your camera.
It's certainly no Resident Evil game and if I had played the Xbox 360 version I would certainly recommend this one for you.
But still, if you are not afraid of fighting zombies and if you like exploring big places and having some fun, this will definitely suit you.

Not a real thumb up for this game but not a thumb down either.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Trailer

You know this is exactly why I NEED a ps3! I have played some of the first one at a friend's home and I really loved it!

So I heard you like video games?

So that should be me.
Photobucket

Before starting, I thought it would be useful to make a small bio about myself.
So I'm 19 and will be 20 in more than a month. I am a student and it's my last year of highschool.
Apart from playing video games, I also like to read (especially mangas), watch tvseries, movies or animes, goof around with friends, play pool, go swimming, mess around on the computer and watch random videos on youtube.
Oh and I am a Lost geek. I love that tvseries so much.
I also have another blog on livejournal but I am not ready to give away the name yet due to personal reasons.
You would certainly like to know the consoles I have.
So I got a nintendo ds, a psp, a ps2, a wii and a xbox 360.
The console I like the most? Difficult to say. I have my time period with all of them. If a new game is out for the xbox it's for sure that I will be playing more xbox. I also like the idea of the Wii but there are unfortunately not that many great and epic games out there for that console. Same thing for the ds. The psp doesn't get much love either because there is a good game that comes out like every year.
Sounds negative but I love all of my consoles and I often think about getting a ps3 too. Don't know when but by no later than the coming out of Final Fantasy 13 I will have one.
Some of my favorite games include the series of Pokemon, Prince of Persia, Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda, Bully (Ps2/Wii), Gta 4/The Lost and Damned, No More Heroes (Wii) and Resident Evil 4/5 to name a few.
I like a great variety of games but I tend to prefer action/adventures but don't count on me playing shooters. Nothing against them, I just don't play them.
I also have to add that I live in Europe (Luxembourg) so the game reviews I make are when the game comes out there and when I get it of course. Release dates in Europe are often different from US dates so sometimes it might take a while until I can review them.
I think that might be all for the moment.
Hello everybody!
My name is Fabienne, I'm 19, I am from Luxembourg and I want to share with you my passion of video games.
I will post reviews about the newest games I got, some trailers about upcoming games and a lot more video games related things.

The name of the blog is a quote from Travis Touchdown, an awesome character from the Wii game 'No More Heroes' which I really like.
It is still in progress and I hope that it will be as interesting as possible in the upcoming days.
Stay tuned!
